HOW DO I...?

1.) Navigate the HCISD Web pages?

Most text and images are a "clickable" link to another web page. As you move the arrow curser over links, the curser will change into a pointing hand. Almost every page has links to additional information on the web or pages on the HCISD web site. At the top and / or bottom of every page are navigation buttons. All you have to do is click on one of the main menu areas to go to that page. Click on the HCISD Homepage button to return to HCISD's homepage located at the top left side of the web page.

2.) Get the optimal screen resolution setting for my computer to view the HCISD web pages?

The best screen resolution setting to view HCISD web pages is 1024 x 768 or higher. To change your settings follow these instructions. (1) Click on the Windows Start button at the bottom of your desktop. (2) Select Control Panel from the menu. (3) Click on Appearance and Themes. (4) Click on Display. (5) Click on the Settings tab. (6) Adjust the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 or higher by moving the level control to the right. (7) Click on the Apply button of the Display window to reset your screen resolution.

3.) Obtain more information about HCISD?

Click on the Administrative Offices menu on the HCISD homepage and that will take you to a list of offices with information and phone numbers. Any one of these very helpful staff people will be glad to help you. Visit these pages often as we continue to develop our administrative offices pages and update email addresses.

4.) Setup up my "harlingen.isd.tenet.edu" email account.

First, contact the Technology Center and request that an account be set up. Call (956) 427-3085 to verify or establish an account.

Proceed to Mailsetup to finish your email setup in Microsoft Outlook 2002. Other versions of Outlook may be slightly different.

Instructions for using your WebMail account may be found on Internet WebMail Help.

6.) Why didn't I receive an email that was sent to me?

Here are the most common reasons why you did not receive an email. The email's total file size was larger than 4MB. The attachment is larger than 4MB. The email contains a .gif, .zip, or .exe attachment. The email background or signature has a .gif file. Have the sender send you a plain text email with no "fancy" backgrounds or attachments, and be sure they have your correct email address. If you have tried these solutions and simply can't get through, then please send an email to: hcisdemail@yahoo.com and we will find a solution. We will check this account every day and fix each problem as we find it. We will then send you and the individual an email confirming that a solution has been found.
