Texas Public School Nutrition Policy




  The mission of the HCISD Health Advisory Council
is to ensure that local community values and health issues are reflected in the District's health education instruction. The HCISD health advisory council will meet on a yearly basis to discuss and review ongoing school health education programs.

Statement for Public Inspection BDF (LEGAL)
The Harligen School District has adopted district policies to ensure that elmentary school, middle school, and high school students engage in physical activity FFA LOCAL.

The district has also adopted and enforces policies and procedures that prescribe penalties for the use of tobacco products by students and others on school campuses or at school sponsored or school related activities.

Nutrition Guidelines FFA (LOCAL)
In addition, HCISD has established policies to ensure that nutrition guidelines for school meals shall be at least as restrictive as federal regulations and guidance and that all foods available on each campus are in accordance with the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy.
