TO
AWESOME AUTHORS
You and your partners will navigate
through the internet by going to the sites that have been selected for
you. These sites will introduce you to the following "Awesome Authors":
Your navigating will take
you into the following quadrants of each author's life.
Your task will be to navigate
through an assigned author's life. As a group you will learn about the
author's life, his works, influence of author's life on his work, and types
of writing he did. At the end of your navigating and
research the members of each group will combine all the information gathered
and will report the findings to the class.
1. You will be assigned a group. Each group will be assigned an author. Each person in the group will choose or will be assigned a quadrant to research in the selected sites. 2. Click on the different web sites to gather information and view a picture of your author for your report. 3. As you read the articles about these authors look for the following and record your findings on the worksheet which has been provided for you. Click on "activity sheet" to print the sheet. Each group needs only one.
4. When you have finished your research, you will report your findings to the class and hand in all worksheets to the teacher. 5. After findings have
been reported to the class, two groups will compare and contrast all quadrants
of their two authors on the venn diagram which is provided for you. Click
